Changing it up (part 2)

As I anticipated, I was quite stiff and sore today after running on the treadmill yesterday. I was hoping that the pain would decrease as they day went on but I wasn't so lucky. As a matter of fact, it got increasingly more difficult to get out of the chair in my office.

I was dreading going to work out and despite my best intentions to want to run again today that just wasn't going to happen. I was definitely opting for the elliptical machine today.

I knew I had to keep moving and so I made myself go to the gym after work today. I was prepared to not be able to do a full workout and had told myself that 'no pain - no gain' didn't apply today.

Surprisingly my workout went exceptionally well. I was able to go at my normal speed on the elliptical machine and put in the 6 miles I would normally do. I was pretty pleased with myself. I really want to run on the treadmill tomorrow. As I was leaving I thought perhaps I could start out just running every other day.

So I got home and had dinner, still feeling pretty good. After dinner I went upstairs and when I came back down the stairs to the kitchen my legs were killing me. "Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch....." one for every step I came down. And I think I'm gonna run tomorrow? Well, I guess it could happen....or NOT!
