Orlando

Here's some snapshots of our trip to Orlando. Our hotel was about 2.5 miles from Downtown Disney and we walked there everyday, sometimes twice a day.

Not only is Downtown Disney filled with countless Disney images and memorabilia but there is also Legoland

Lori was "Princess" for a day.....

My favorite ice cream place was closed for renovations....we're going back in June...I hope its open then

We got to meet Josh's new girlfriend......

....and spent the day with him at Disney's Blizzard Beach water park. The ski lift takes you up to a water slide that you go in excess of 60mph.....families seem to migrate to the ginormous wave pool....

I prefer the lazy river.......

One of favorite things is coffee and we found the best coffee place on International Drive......the coffee comed from Hawaii.....however, the name may not be so appealing!

It was a awesome week!

Naked pool guy

Ok, it's the morning of our last day on vacation in Orlando. We did some packing the night before but hadn't finished. We got up early to finish cramming stuff into the suitcases, but had actually done better at packing the night before than we'd thought and it didn't take much time at all to finish up.

I'm not a big fan of hotel coffee and made trip down to Dunkin Donuts to get my morning cup of java every day. With extra time on my hands on this last vacation morning, I decided to go get a cup of the liquid gold.

Our room was on the 3rd floor and just around the corner from one of the pools at the hotel. As I rounded the corner to the stairwell I noticed a couple of guys at the pool. The pool opened at 9am every morning and was always cleaned prior to its opening, so seeing the guys at the pool wasn't unusual and I just assumed it was being cleaned.

Upon my return from Dunkin Donuts, as I walked by the pool, I just naturally looked down at it. The guys were still there, but there was someone in the pool too. What? The pool didn't open for another 90 minutes. I stopped and looked again. There was a man in the pool and it looked like he was naked. He was making his way toward the end of the pool where the steps were so I waited. I was certain it must have just been white swim trunk. WRONG! As he came out of the water it was very apparent that he was indeed, NAKED. The thing I couldn't understand was the pool cleaning guys weren't doing anything to stop him. Or were they the pool guys? Were they the look outs?

I bee-lined back to the room, not believing what I just witnessed.

I looked at Lori and said, 'you're not going to believe what I just saw!' I told her what had happened and she was just as stunned as me. A few minutes later I decided to walk back towards the pool to see if they were still there as I wanted to report it to the front desk. I rounded the corner and the pool guys, if that's who they were, were gone. Naked guy was still there but getting dressed. His attire was very strange. It appeared that he had a yarmulke on and some kind of robe with tassles. Was some kind of ceremony going on in the hotel pool? I retreated back to the room.

As we hauled our luggage down to the car I saw yet another guy at the pool and the pool still wasn't open. This guy was wearing shorts and shirtless. It appeared he had some kind of light in a cone shaped aparatus.

Okay this was getting too freaky. Let me say that I'm just glad we weren't swimming in the pool that day! Definitely made our departure interesting.
